The J-1 visa thus opens the door for you to recruit our highly educated, motivated and qualified students/graduates from the top Hotel, Hospitality and Culinary management schools in Europe and across the Globe!
The J-1 Visa (Intern/Trainee) allows your participant to…
- Undertake a training program for up to 18 months in your property (participant must possess degree and one (1) year of experience in the same field/position – this is possible in all departments including Kitchen!)
- Obtain a Social Security Number
- Obtain a driver’s license
The J-1 Training Visa does NOT allow your participant to…
- Change Host Company (As long as the interns/trainees are treated appropriately and receiving the training suggested, they are required by the terms of their visa to stay with your company!)
- Extend the training program beyond 18 months
- Gain employment outside of the original training program, (this legal formality gives you the opportunity to reduce your turnover. We therefore ask that you maintain required minimum hours of 32 to 40 hours per week which is required under the terms of their visa.)
- All students and graduates from Placement International , Inc. enter the United States under a J-1 visa and are considered Exchange Visitors in the United States. We have participants that have program lengths for W&T, 6 - 12 month Internship and 18 month management training programs!
